Quick tune up = Big improvement!

I changed my cap/rotor, PCV valve, and Bosch +4 plugs today and oh baby does the car feel better. The cap looked fine, the rotor looked very very bad. It's odd because I thought one being bad would lead to the other being beat as well. The plugs looked a little dark with carbon but very close to identical between the four in terms of condition, which seemed good to me. I replaced them with the factory NGK's and the car seems to idle smoother and pull much harder then it did before. I don't know if it was the plugs or the rotor, I guess a combo of the two but it really did make a difference. It's been a little over 20k since I did this last so I guess I was due.

I believe some thing like this, but correct me if I'm wrong:
PCV stands for postive crankcase ventilation. There is no performance gains here. Thr valve vents unburned fuel that escapes the cylinders into oil pan. Thr valve either works or it doesn't. If it stops working, the unburnt fuel will break down the oil sooner causing premature wear. I can't remember how you tell if it's bad. I believe if the valve inside the unit seized; you can't hear it if you shake it, then replace...it usuallly last quite awhile
