A guy I know is selling a Greddy EVO exhaust for 5th gen. base. I told him I would probably buy it if the price is right and all that good stuff. We spoke only briefly so I don't know how old it is or anything. I do know that his car has about 45,000 miles on it. My question is...what kind of life-span does an EVO have? Will I be safe in buying an exhaust with 20,000 miles on it? What is a good line to not cross considering mileage? I plan on using this exhaust for about 2-3 years until I buy a Mugen or Thermal. How much should I expect to pay for the exhaust...assuming it is in good condition? Am I completely wrong in hoping for under $250 or what? Any input is appreciated as I have never bought an exhaust before. Thanks guys. Scott

IMHO an after-mkt exhaust is just as good if not better than stock. Especially considering it's Greddy I wouldn't worry about durability. My friend has a PE on a 97', it's been on for at least 3 yrs now and no problems besides scratches on bottom.

As for price, given a new EVO is ~$500, if he used it for like 20k and assume it's in fair condition, personally I would pay up to $300-320 for it. Hope that helps!
