Question after OEM front lip install (5th gen)...

i just installed the OEM front lip on my car...it was pretty straight forward and relatively easy...but i have one question/concern...the lip is securely on but the adhesive strips that they supplied don't seem to be sticking very well...the lip is still fairly tight against the bumper, but not sealed tight because the adhesive isn't strong enough...so my question is, has anyone else had this problem and also is it anything to be worried about? i don't see a really big issue, but i wanna be sure...

TIA...

Did you thoroughly clean the area that it was going to be adhered to? It was probably dirty and the adhesive was/is sticking to the dirt rather than sticking to the bumper itself. Not a huge deal though if it's not sticking...you can always go out and buy double sided tape and do it again.

so for cleaning it you dont need anything special? just some nice extra scrubbing while using normal car-wash stuff?

i'm pretty sure you can download the pdf file at www.handa-accessories.com of the how-to install of the different parts of the skirt package...or it might've been www.hondaautomotiveparts.com, i somethimes get those two confused

if you want th double-sided 3M tape to stick well, firt wash the area, then use 3M adhesive, wax and tar remover, then lacquer thinner, and then adhesive promotor. that tape will stick like superglue.

haha, yeah that's what i thought. that was in the instructions for my rs kit from wings west. it's not too backbreaking though, and my kit is on solidly. the adhesive wax and tar remover i actually use kinda frequently for getting off stickier stuff that wont come off with a wash (bugs included).
