Problem with rotors...

Or kinda the rotors... the THIN metal piece that wraps around the rotor... i dunno what it is, or what it does... but when i had my front end jacked up 2day the car kinda rested on it... i put the tire back on, and just drove down my drive way, and i guess its bent, cause its rubbing HELLA bad. IS this something i can just bend back?? What to do?

Are you asking about the brake shield or dust shield whatever you wanna call it? If it is then ya. The sound that makes should sound like a crushing sound. Just take the wheel off and bend it back.

Some people even run without them but those are mostly autocrossers or track only cars. It actually has a function but anyway. Lemme know if that's what you're talking about.

yeah thats what im talking about, their thin, but kinda long,a nd wrap all the way around the rotors. I'm too damn tired to do it 2night, i already did a ton of stuff to it, so im gonna go to bed, and do it tommorow... i guess i'll just take it off, bend it, and put the tire back on and HOPE that its fixed... if i have to take the tire off more than once im gonna go insane

sounds like a bent dust shield. just jack the car up, spin the wheel and keep bending it till the noise goes away. either bent or rock/metal in between rotor and shield.

the function of that is to prevent rocks and crap from hitting the rotor and to redirect air onto the rotor to aid in cooling them...just so ya know....
