Prelude Wont Get Power

Hi! I have a 96 Honda Prelude 2.2L 5 speed. I have a problem. My car won't start. When the key is turned nothing at all happens. No lights on dash, nothing. I have a brand new battery. I just had the timing belt and all other belts replaced. Any ideas what could be wrong?!? Please and Thank you!

Hmmm, could be some kind of switch/wiring problem in the steering column that is cause the car not to recognize you turning the key.

Honestly, I'm not a wiring guy. Sorry I can't help with more in-depth info.

We're going to need more details. Do the lights still work? Can you jump start or push start the car? Did you check to make sure your battery cables are getting a good contact with the battery terminals?

The lights aren't working, only thing that works is the horn. Just start doesn't work and it's not in an area where I can push start the car, too much snow. I have tried three different batteries. The other day the lights turned on for a few seconds and now nothing happens. The battery cables have been check along with the battery fuse..

Check the engine ground. It should be connected by the oil dipstick and also on the shock tower on the other end.

Do the interior lights and power locks work?

Well. f...

If it was my car, I would check ALL the fuses again, then break out the multimeter/test light and trace the power from the battery to try and track down the problem. If everything electrical (except the horn...wtf???) doesn't work and you have a know good, charged battery, then it has got to be a wiring problem. That is going to be a b!tch to trace all those wires though...
