Is it possible to put a H22 head on a H23 block & just modifing the H23 ECU....

I heard it could be done.....if so What do you have to do. Let me know what you motor techs think.....PEACE.

Do a search for H23 or H23A VTEC. It has been done, a bunch.

Some considerations, and why I wouldn't do it:
- The H23 does NOT have piston sprayers (the H22 does). Pistons/rods/pins will run hotter than they were ever designed to.
- The H23 has a much worse rod ratio than the H22, which is already poor.

These add up to reliability issues long-term. I haven't seen anyone who has run one for any length of time. I think the real problem comes from the increased rev limit of the H22 since people generally use the H22 ECU for VTEC.

I watched Grant Lockwood go through a few blocks that were H23 VTEC hybrids... he kept punching rods through the side.
