Please help: Replacing power wire

I just changed out the OEM power battery cables to the fusebox and starter. But is 4 gauge more than enough to do the job???

This is just a straight swap out with the old and in with the new with no battery relocation. I'm using Fosgate 4 gauge a little less than (3) feet of wire each for the fusebox and starter.

I was told by the audio store that it should easily handle it up to 135 amps. If this is correct, what is the usual amperage for the starter and fusebox to the battery???

I'm just getting paranoid and stuff because of all the stuff I read about the wire melting and causing fires and such if you use a substandard wire that can't handle the amps.

Thanks so much!!!

4 gauge is more than heavy enough. Just keep in mind that if you change all the power wires, you should also change all the ground wires to match.
