Please Help!My VTEC is engaging weird.....

now this doesn't happen all the time but sometimes when i punch it, it would hit vtec and sometimes go slow in vtec.it doesn't go up to the point where it kicks back.somtimes the rpm would kick back at 6500 instead of closer to 7300.what can be the problem?i do like to punch it sometimes but not all the time.

thanks

Maybe change your oil

VTEC doesn't like to be out of oil, and mine was doing the same thing.

peace

burning oil

I think i remember reading that VTEC engines naturally burn a little oil, so that would explain your loss of oil.

Depending on what year 5th gen you have, your rings may be bad. Mine are atleast. My oil burns like an american flag in afghanistan.
