People that have put in catback exhausts yourselves:
I still don't know whether to put in my catback exhaust myself or get it done for 50-60 bucks. I've done it once before on a 92 lude, but the nuts were so rusted on the part where it mates to the cat converter that I broke off 2 of the bolts. And the thing is that if I remember correctly, those bolts aren't the regular kind, but it looked like they were "built" into the cat converter, know what I mean? Did any of you guys have the bolts break on you? I got a 97 lude that's lived thru several chicago winters, so I'm sure the nuts are nice and rusty. I don;t have a torch to heat them off either. Damn, I can't decide!
I just did mine myself last night on my '01 lude. Since its only been on the road for like a month, I had no problems with rusting bolts. It'll probably be harder than mine, but it shouldn't be THAT hard. What I ended up doing is I put a wratchet up to the bolt, and I took a rubber mallet and hit it until it came off loose. Some WD-40 would help too. I think that is all you would need for the job. Good luck.
My Dad and I started to do mine ourselves, had the car on jackstands and we decided that the nuts were so rusty ('98) that we just paid the 50 bucks to get it done at a shop.
I've installed 2 catback exhauts (95 integra and 95 civic), and found that the best way to do it is to jack up the car (4 points), then spraw all the bolts with wd-40, come back in a few hours, spray again, and then wait 15 minutes (for it to dry somewhat), then go at em. Always worked for me.

Yea, exactly, and get some penetrating oil while your at it.
I helped cantdrive55, but I also have an impact gun and a compressor
also you dont have unbolt everything, when i put my n1 on all did was took off the hangers and unbolted the whole exhaust at the cat. assembled the new exhaust that was 3 peices and bolted it on. that flexpipe helps out big time.
the biggest pain in th arse is the top bolt on the cat, you really have to get a small hand involved in that one.
