PCV valve inspection

Since I don't have my Helms manual with me and looking at the little chrome outlet on the valve cover doesn't do me any good, I was wondering if anyone here knows where the PCV valve is located and how can I check and, if necessary, replace it?

I'm thinking I might need to pull the valve cover or something, right? Any info would be helpful.

I'm not sure about the chrome part, but on the upper right corner of the valve cover, there's a hose leading to the intake manifold. That's where the PCV valve is. Just pull/twist straight up. Then take it off the hose. Shake it. If it doesn't rattle, replace it. If it rattles, it should be fine, but you might as well replace it. It's about $3 at any parts store. I think the manual suggest that you replace it every 30k or when ever you don't hear it rattling anymore.
