o2 sensor problem!!

My car threw a code for o2 sensor. WOndering if there is a way to test to see if it fully failed or if its just dirty since i run test pipes (along with engine burning lots of oil).

Is there anyway to clean the o2 sensor .. wiping the extra crud of off it or is ones its toast its toast?

I tried this before too. You can't clean an o2 sensor, and if the car is throwing a code for the front o2 (the only one that does fuel trimming) then it has to be VERY dead. So yes it's dead. Get a new one.

I bought mine from sparkplugs.com for cheap (got a denso oe replacement). IT's the EXACT same thing as an o2 from Honda, for way less the cost. It's a plug and play fit, works awesome. No universal o2 with wire splicing etc.

Unfortunately i do not own a honda. I have a G35. Reason why I posted it here, cause there seem to be a lot more knowhow on this forum then on the G forums. All they talk about is what exhaust to get.

Can an engine that burning oil, be the cause for a failed o2?

^Yep

Plus running a test pipe doesn't help will all the crud that will be getting on your sensor. Regardless of it not being a Honda you can get OE fit O2 sensors rather than dealer OEM.
