NON-VTEC H23A (Pics)

This is a JDM motor swapped into a Prelude Si, I had never seen this before, so I took pictures:

Is it the same specs as the USDM H23A1 or is there something special about it?

Interesting RedH22A1, I thought that the JDM H23 was an F23 or somthing, seems now that there is also an H23 in Japan.

Could it be a H23 block with a F22B head?

But the block is still stamped with H23A which, I and the others have not seen before.

That other JDM motor that you're talking about, Si4WS, is the F22B probably. It's 2.2lt DOHC.

i have never seen a non vtec h23a before. as far as i knew all the non vtec si motors were the f22b, dual overhead cam 2.2 liter producing about the same amount of power as the usdm h23a1.

it might be possible however that the motor has had a head swap on it, IIRC the h23a i was from the the euro sir-t? i don't remember ask satan-srv

how do you know that its JDM?

if all you're going by is what it says on the block, or what somebody was telling you... then most likely you are mistaken

there has never been a JDM H23 non-vtec... only H23 VTEC came in the Accord Sir-T wagon and was only Auto

that is the exact same way my old H23 looked...

lucke is right. The engine you see in the picture is an h23a3, j-spec from accord wagon. Essentially a honda-made h22/h23 hybrid.

I would say accord h23a3 vtec, h23a non vtec, they would put the vtec and non in it.

I don't have H23 anymore or I would look, what does the rest of your blocks say H23 people?
