New O2 Sensor?

I found a link to oxygensensors.com and there are 3 to choose from

1 Walker @ $76.90
1 Denso @ $97.98 - Autozone has this one for $215.99 FYI
1 Walker @ $49.90

Autozone also has a denso for $65, which may not include the stock wiring harness....no problem there.

Are all O2 sensors equal? Any other suggestions? If I can get one that's just as good, but I have to wire it up myself, I'll be happy to do that too. I need a new primary O2 sensor (I think, I've been having idle issues for a while) because I have 200,000+ on the current one.

Thanks

Have you tried asking Mike @ IRP?

I think he has a Denso for ~$60 with stock connectors.

If you need it now or want to get it at autozone, they all work, its just a pita to connect the two black wires because you can't identify either. So its a 50% chance you'll get it right

Ha, thanks!

Where can I contact Mike @ IRP? - I think I found it - importrp.com

edit: I'm not going to get a chance to work on the car for about 2 weeks - I'm just going to get all the parts ready to go. I have Seafoam, Plugs, I need the 02 Sensor now. I bought new plug wires (NGK Blue) a few years ago (4 years maybe).

You could always check sparkplugs.com I know 5th gen Densos go for like 40, for my 94 S they're like 80.

Yeah, sparkplugs.com is great. I payed $47 or so for a Denso complete with plug, for a 5th gen and got it in a couple days. Maybe 4th gen's are different?

obd2 and obd1^ 4th gens only have a primary so they tend to cost more. 5th gens have primary and secondary, which I guess is why 5th gens are cheaper a piece, because you need two.

Must've been a "universal one," I know denso or NGK direct OEM harness replacement go for 90 something for 95's on Sparkplugs.com Check for yourself. I've tried 4th gens, S, Si and SE OEM identical O2 sensors, they're like 78-92.00.

I would highly reccomend that users here do business with our local forum sponsor, Mike95lude. He has excellent prices and has great support for PO.com members. I believe he sells OEM replacements for around $40 also.

My OEM replacement was ~$105 for the 4th gen. I could have gotten it for $10 cheaper at another site, but good customer service is hard to beat. I like knowing that what I get will work and is what I am looking for

Yeah I agree with supporting a local vendor, but when I can get a deal somewhere, I usually take it if it's not at a huge sacrifice
