Need Some Advice To Prep My Prelude For A Paint Job

First off I'm going to make it clear that I did not buy the hood for this car, it just came with it. I've looked around and people are getting flamed everytime they ask how to paint over carbon fiber. I have a carbon fiber hood that has cracks in the middle of it and a hole smaller then a penny. If I could keep it carbon fiber I would, but it just doesnt look good at all.

So what I need to know is what steps do I have to do to get my carbon fiber hood ready to paint. Sanding and grit size, Cleaning compound, and what types of primer. I'll post pics as soon as its all painted
