Need HID advice

Hi,

I am currently looking at the following HID kit for my 5th gen:

2x brand new Hella xenon projectors (those can be Audi A6 single xenon or Bixenon HID )
2x brand new Philips D2S HID bulbs
2x brand new Hella ballasts with wire harnesses

for 475$USD (shipped to MTL QUEBEC)

1.- Is this a good deal? If not, where can I get a better price?

2.- Audi A6 single or bi-xenon?

3.- Am I missing something for my conversion? Something I should double check also?

4.- Or should I get a plug n play kit?

Thanx a lot for your input.

Mart

1) If everything is brand new it is a deacent deal. You could do better but it isnt that bad.

2) I don't think they will fit in our housings. It will be a VERY tight fit to work.

3) You need a wiring harness with internal relays to protect wiring. (www.suvlights.com)

4) Plug-n-Play = teh lose ... trust me.... it would be a bad decision.

what will be a better price then? Please where!?

Both Audi A6 single and bi-xenon wont fit?
I know it will need cutting and fitting.. you think it cannot be done?

3) You need a wiring harness with internal relays to protect wiring. (www.suvlights.com)

uhm can you explain me or give me a site where I can get more info about that? You suspect that the wiring harness that they wil give me wont have relay integrated to it?

thanx

For finding a better price....just keep searching ebay or online shops. Took me a few weeks before i found a deal on my e46 bixenons,

The hella singles will fit better than the bixenon. The bixenon have the solenoid that takes up extra room. I have helped install the hella bixenons and they will fit, but it will protrude out of the rear more so than smaller projectors.

You should check out hidforums.com and search the site. A lot of info is there and you can find info on making our own wiring harness as opposed to purchasing one.

I have A6 single projectors and, yes, they are quite a tight fit as far as being able to push them farther into the housing.

this is a bad pic, but you can tell how recessed the projectors are in the housing:
