please refrain from comments like get your own helms... see i have this problem i have a 96 and its wired diferently from other 4th gens, so that would require me to get 2 helms, which i plan on doing later on but i need help right now
as far as the question, im swaping in a 94 h22a in a 96; obd1 in a obd2
could someone let me know what wires in the distributor are going where, im trying to move my sensors at the crank to the distributor.
colors are also different from the 96 distributor. would really apreciate colors and location on all the wires on a obd1 distributor
thanks

since i must be the guinea pig with the 96 - pre96 swap, id like to write up a swap faq after i finish this wiring
as far as all the other sensors other than the distributor and the sensors at the crank, everything matches up perfectely, i took the coolant temp and front coolant housing from my old motor to use that sensor

Sounds like you have it figured out. I have both the 95 Helms and the 96 supplement. Lemme know if you still need some help. I don't have a scanner or digicam, so I'd have to type it up, but if I can help, I'd be down...

i was able to figure all this out, so tomorrow hopefully i can do a write up on the whole thing, as far as installing a obdI distributor on a obdII car including moving the sensors from the crank to the distributor.

okay, made it back to my car and started to give her a test drive before i made the 45 minute drive home.
problem 1) rough idle
then i get ecu codes 5 and 21
i had the sensors at the throttle body backwards, fixed code 5
as for code 21, my vtec solenoid wasnt completely connected, and just to let you all know (not that swaping a us vtec for a jdm vtec is all that popular) the connector on the vtec solenoid is different between the two, same number of wires tho. anyway i used my old vtec solenoid and that problem cleared up
problem 2) ****
okay im a f-ing dumbass, started out the driveway and got about 200yards away, then car ****s out on me, give it gas and i cant accelerate. figures i had to miss 1 thing, its just my luck, thats what i get when im in a hurry to get my baby together.
the passenger side axle wasnt put all the way in so it must have popped out. ATTN: double check this then go back a check it again, lets just say its a pain in the ass to get an axle back in the tranny at 2 in the morning.
okay after all the troubles, i guess i still came out somewhat ahead. but then again my car started out a vtec, so that probably explains why i had so few problems. But now i do have a code 12 on the ecu, subEX said something about it being a vacuum line, i thought this was an EGR error. so any help on this would be appreciated. I do have a hondata intake manifold gasket and the egr is blocked, but i never threw codes on the last motor for this
