my brakes are squeeeeeeking.

so my brakes are squeeking, and i just got new pads/rotors installed last weekend brembo blanks/axxis Metal master pads. i wasnt sure how to brake them in, so i just went easy on the brakes for about 200 miles, no hard braking at all. and now they squeek like a mofo. i also noticed they dont have the "bite" at intial pedal movement, but they do brake hard, after the pedal is pressed down. like i said they just dont have the "bite".

wtf is up? i didnt spend $200 on pads/rotors for nothing.

Did you put the anti-squeel stuff on the backside of the pads? That'll help you out

take them back and have them put some anti-squeal on the backside of the brake pads and try to watch them so you can be sure that they put it on

remember to set pads in after you get new ones. What I do and hear is a pretty good method is to:

Drive about 40
Brake hard to 20
brake to 10
never let the brakes completly stop the rotors and don't hold them on the rotor either

reaccelerate and repeat once more

You shouldn't need any anti-squeal stuff for Axxis MM's - they have an integrated shim that should take care of it.

But proper bedding procedure is important, follow what the pad manufacture recommends. 40mph --> 10mph using medium-hard brake pressure, repeat 10 times, allowing a quarter mile or so between brakings to let them cool a little.

You can try it now after the fact and see if it helps. If it doesn't, you'll have to get your rotors resurfaced & then bed them again.

And Axxis Ultimates are probably going to squeak some no matter what you do. Just a symptom of a more aggressive ceramic pad.

Look around. You can get rotors resurfaced for $10-15 per corner.

every good "high perfomance" pad will sqeel a little when they are cold, and during normal driving they never get very hot.
