i just bought a 1990 Prelude and it runs great with a cool air intake and im very happy but when it idols the RPM's rev up and drop and most of the time it only does this until it warms up but every once in a wile it does that no matter how long i drive it and i cant figure out why can anyone shed some light on the matter?

well i don't know much about it but yes try to turn the idol screw on the throttle body to raise idol a couple 100 rpm's hope this will work for you..

check on preludepower.com under the 3rd gen section they have a sticky thread about all common problems with our cars

called the bouncing idle. Might want to ceck your IACV or your EACV
