mugen engine treatment oil?

check this out.

http://www.inlinefour.com/mugmtentreat.html

you think it even does anything to help? cuz i know that zmax is absolutely crap and doesnt do anything and were actually being sued because of it. so im kinda sceptical to add this mugen treatment thing. although i do use chevron fuel injector cleaner everytime i change my oil.

Yup, that sould be OK. It's basically a molybdenum additive for oils that do not contain molybdenum, such as Amsoil and most dino oils. Mobil 1 SS does contain it (that's the "secret" Super-Syn ingredient), and RedLine contains a $hitload of it as well. Oddly, Castrol GTX does contain moly as well.

Moly is NOT the alpha and omega of oil additives. Amsoil does not contain moly, and it's an outstanding oil, better than Mobil 1 SS that does contain it. Moly is a high heat high pressure additive, so if you regularly track your car, it might be a good idea. For a daily driven car it's useless. This additive thickens the oil as well, which is a good idea at the track but not ideal in a daily driven car, especially in winter.

A similar product is the Schaeffer's #132 oil additive which proved to be an excellent anti-wear additive.

I try to use MT105 as frequently as possible. I noticed after adding it that cold start valve train noise was eliminated. It does seem to have some effect, and it is the best additive I've been able to find (based on additive research I've done).

I'm pleased with it and plan to continue using it until something better comes along.

I just ordered a bottle for the first time. I also started using Red Line 5W30 about 5 months ago.

I will probably only add the Mugen stuff every 15,000 miles. I wouldn't want my car to OD on all that Moly!!!

Redline already has about 600PPM of Moly, the Mugen additive would be a waste of money. RedLine has the most moly out of all commercially available oils.

Yeah, I know it's probably going to be a waste of money and that Red Line already contains a lot of Moly.

I just started using Red Line and I'm at about 60k miles and I just thought what the hell... this stuff couldn't hurt with at least 1 try! If I feel a difference, I might buy it again every 15k or 30k miles!

I bought my Prelude new and I own it outright. My wife and I are expecting our first child. As long as I keep the Prelude going I don't have to buy a people mover. My wife has a 96 Accord EX, let her have the people mover! If I have to buy another car for myself, there is too much pressure to buy at least a 4 door. I'll probably get something like the TSX if I have too!!

I will drive my Prelude until it dies!! Long live my Prelude!!!

NOOOOOOO to 4-door people movers!

Take care of the Lude and she'll take care of you.
