Leather really helps the 5th gen. It should have been an option if not standard here in the US.
There stuff looks great, and they have a dealer near me. Is it very expensive?

^Honestly, not sure

I was lucky enough to buy the lude with it already done. Half the cost is installation. The guy who owned it b4 me worked at a dealership, so I imagine they just did it there for free. From intsalling heated seats in my dads miata, putting this stuff on really isnt too hard. Just some patience and be careful not to rip anything.

So it's really just a cover then and not actually re-doing the whole seat?

Looks like the whole seat to me. You just need to remove the cloth, and then cover it with the leather ones. But that is not the same as the cheap "leather covers" you see on eBay.

I think a nice feature to add would be courtesy lights under the dash for when the door is opened. Maybe a better trunk light.

suggestions...

1. save your money and trade it in for a Accord or a Acura RSX, TSX or RL :P
2. Quieter riding luxury sport tires
3. replacing worn stock rubber suspension bushings and motor mounts with new stock rubber parts
4. putting in a stiffer valved shock absorber is just going to transmit more road noise then the stock absorbers
5. try addressing causes of noises, rattles and squeeks rather then blanketing the car with extremely expensive and heavy sound deadener. Sometimes fasteners loosen over time, especially on a car that is 5 years old at best. Again, bushings and rubber isolaters wear out/dry out..try checking the rubber isolators for your glove box, arm rest, doors, trunk lid and hood, etc...
6. Valeo or Trico Ultimate streamlined wiper blades for better rain and inclement weather visability, longer lasting and looks pretty slick too
7. replace your likely worn floor mats

I have a 4th gen. and I just purchased a MOMO "Pit Stop" black leather/CF e-brake handle from Options Auto that 's nice and beefy, and really classy looking. The e-brake handle requires an adapter for $4 or so depending on the model of your car, and it fits just inside the end of the handle, where the button sticks out.

I also purchased a MOMO leather shift boot for it also to finish the look. I just trimmed the opening at the base of the e-brake handle a bit and tucked the rest of it in around the opening at the base of the e-brake., since mine has no boot normally.

There is a piece of velcro attached to the inside edge of the e-brake boot you can use around the base with a strip of matching velcro/adhesive to stick to the surface of the console, but in this application it isn't the same. There was plenty of room around the e-brake opening to tuck the boot in with no interference in function, it doesn't bunch up or anything and it looks really clean.

When I finished I was amazed at the difference- it looks VERY upscale. Previously I had another aftermarket e-brake handle but it wasn't what I really wanted. I already have a matching MOMO black leather/CF shift knob so the center console looks great with both the shift and e-brake matching handles. I just did it the other day so I don't have pix yet, but I can post some soon. When I get to take the pix I'll post them on a new thread.

1. It better be an Accord V-6, RSX sucks, TSX sucks, RL is cool but the CL is the ****, but since you are trading in your car and paying an ass load, why not just buy a Bentley or a Jag.

4. That reminds me I bought some koni's for my OEM shocks, and I used the lower spring cup to lower the car. The suspension is WAY smoother then before, but they were OEM, and they are adjustable. Best of both worlds.

7. Very good interior upgrade. Get them while you can. Honda dosen't offer them anymore for the 4th gen.

1. Stock Accord Coupe V6 6spd or stock TL or a modified TSX. only a 2003 CL is nice. The rest suck.

PininFarina456,

I took some pics early this evening (EST) of the center console with the leather/CF MOMO shifter/boot, the new leather/CF MOMO e-brake/boot, and you can also see my aluminum MOMO race pedals and dead pedal. You can also see the factory optional armrest I added later on.

In the pics I also tried to get shots of my CF trim kit (the REAL thing) which surrounds the vents, head unit/EQ, ashtray, and the console area around the shifter (It goes as far back as the black section of the console. The CF kit also covers the rings around the door vents (4G Prelude- '92) and most of the door switch/door latch area, ending right at the spot where the black switch trim piece has a slight curved raise in it - it follows the curve perfectly.

Since I see that this thread has extended to two pages, I will post the pics on a new thread. I'll post a note on this thread also to direct anyone who is interested.

Kris
