Lowering springs w/o shocks

How many of you have lowering springs without aftermarket shocks, and hows the ride feel? Stiffer? Bouncey? Just curious on how lowering springs will feel on stock shocks.

I have H&R on the stock shock for about 6000 miles. It's really stiff. But the shock is still good consider that my car only has 6800 miles on it.
