low profile jack
I'm looking for a low profile jack so i can lower my car some more. If i lower it anymore now i won't be able to get the jack i have now out from underneath the car. Any suggestions?

I usually drive up on some boards and then use a regular floor jack/portable. But any auto parts store like Autozone, Pep Boys etc. should have hydraulic jacks that will fit under a lowered car.

I've used the OEM scissor jack to raise mine a few inches until the floor jack will fit.

Yep, thats how I do it.
I'm afraid of driving up on boards and having the board flip up and bang my bumper, which will soon be fitted with a CF lip.

How much are you willing to spend? Griot's Garage and AC sell very low profile jacks, but you're looking at a minimum of $300.

My buddy has a 1 or 1.5 ton alluminum racing jack from Kragen ($179). It's very light and low to the ground but quickly runs out of steam when lifting the front end. I don't recommend it.

I just use a couple foot long sections of 2x8's. Gives me enough clearance to stick my $30 Target jack under the front tow hook . . .
