Well it's not the quietest so I never commented. It sounds nice, if your looking for quiet though it's probably not the right choice. It has some cabin noise between 3500--5000k and some at part throttle. I've heard louder for sure but the axle back Thermal is supposed to be very quiet, I've just never heard it or heard of anyone that has one. I'd recommend it though

I couldn't equip it with sound because your computer couldn't handle the high volume I seriously set 10 + car alarms in every structure I go to with my trm...even a couple floors up they go off..hehe. But I traded for the evo. its not superloud but its loud all the time..never quite which gets ya...swats his ear cause he thinks a bugs flying by it..sniff sniff??? still isn't gone.

Here's what I did.... took my exhaust off from the cat back. I went and picked up a large coffee can from the dump. I punched a hole in it and id the whole thing over my cat... so the hole of the cat matches the small hole in the can. Then, I went to lowes and bought some chicken wire... I wrapped this around the can and the cat to hold it in place. I finished it off by wrapping the entire thing with Reynolds Wrap about 35 times... used almost a whole roll.

I got 15hp... DYNO proven and it's like the car is in stealth mode... you can't even here me coming down the road (until I get within a mile or so)...

I was about to buy the DC DTM Cat-back. It seems that it is not as quiet as I thought. Is the DC cat-back really that loud? I thought is was quiet at idle and didn't really start getting louder till after 3000 RPM's. Doesn't it have to do with how hard you hit the gas? Obviously at WOT it going to be loud as hell, however, if your doing normal driving going through the gear easy it "should" be quiet. True/False. Please let me know, I'm was planning on buying it within the next 3 weeks.

You know after cruising around at lunch today I'd venture to say my exhaust is pretty quiet. I've heard the Greddy and the HKS and they're both louder then mine. I guess the APEX WS is quiter but how much I'm not sure.

i have a tanabe racing medallion. when i get into the 3000 rpm range, it really screams. it's really loud between 3000 and 4000 rpm's. i've gotten 3 tickets by @$$hole cops for having a 'loud muffler'. anyways, it came with a silencer, which i have installed. with the silencer, it's like night and day with the sounds. that's my 2 cents.

I'm on my 2nd Greddy SP. It produces a nice deep tone and IMO, one of the best sounding exhaust systems. I want my aftermarket exhaust to make some noise but not too much noise. I think the SP is the best exhaust for someone with my taste. I love how it sounds during take off's esp when the car is warmed up.

I've heard many others. Here are my comments.

1.Tanabe Gmedallion-definitely quieter than the Greddy SP. Kinda farts though, and I don't like how it sounds at all. Produces this quiet burble farts..whereas the SP produces consistent deep rumble.

2.Greddy PE/EVO-sounds quieter than the SP. Seems like it's not as deep either but you definitely hear it.

3.Tanabe RM-on a prelude, sounds like something between a honda CBR w/ exhaust and a harley..LOUD!!! It's deep tho on a prelude, not farting and tinning as on civics.

4.Apex N1-for some reason, the N1 I saw on a lude was quiet. and they're supposed to be just as loud as Tanabe RM. Hmm..maybe the guy had turbo.

5.HKS Sport-sucks...what's the point of getting this crap system? sounds like ..err..cheap pacesetter systems.

6.Apex Dunk-sounds very similiar to my SP. Nice exhaust..love the way it looks. Anyone wanna trade? Oh..and Apex's and Tanabe's are less prone to rust.

What's the difference between that and Tanabe Racing Medallion? Do they give the same results as in increase in power? Do they look the same? Please post some pics if you can. I wanna see how they look like.
