Prelude Racer

Well I am not sure what happened to my car. The lettering on my valve cover got all screwed up. Meaning like the finish got messed up. My question is how do I get the original finish back ? the brushed alluminum look. I was thinking of sanding but I am not too good with sanding I dont want to over do it. Thanks everyone.

start off with 600 grit sand paper and a block and move to finer paper until you get the desired finish.

you might try some metal polish first and see if that clears things up, before you start sanding.

as above... start with 600 grit, and move to 800, then 1000. Then some metal polish should be just fine.
