I'm not flaming.....but really how is that going to work? And will that F up your normal handling? Weird! I've never seen anything to control traction on a FWD with the exception of those wheelie bars that keep the rear end from squatting on a launch.

I never could figure out how these things worked either. I've never seen one in action, since I don't go out to drag strips. I think they're an anti squat device that either raises the back tires when weight is thrown back there, or lowers the front. I know they are very popular for Integra's and Civics and if you're halfway serious about drag racing, they're a necessity.

I can't believe there's not more interest in this thread. These things sell like hot cakes for the Integra and Civic. Of course there's not alot of Preludes out at the strips. Personaly I could live without drag strips all together.

z10 makes a set for civics...no one really thinks of the lude for drag racing..especially with the 5th gen.

Had the Z10 on my 89 CRX and they helped so much with wheel hop that I can't wait to get them for my Lude.

If you've got a 300+whp Lude you know how bad wheel hop can be.

No wheel hop here (i.e. with 450whp at 18psi on old setup). I have never experienced a problem on street tires or on slicks.

You think that will be a good buy for someone not boosting? b/c i used to get sick wheel hop!! and this seems like an answer to that, how much do they go far, like an estimate??? and how easy is the install?

EDIT: Also, how will it effect daily driving? right now my car is sitting on stockers, with the hyperflex suspension bushings, Koni yellows, Eibach Sportlines and by this Thursday front and rear S/T sway bars I also have the DC under Tie, will that affect anything???

It would be a really good mod for the drag strip but I am also wondering how it would affect your daily driving.

As I stated in a Previous statement on this topic, there is no reason to buy these for a Prelude. All they are is a Radius rod. Preludes already have Radius rods installed from the factory. They are connected to the lower control arm and the front crossmember. In theory they help to prevent fore and aft deflection of the lower control arm under hard acceleration. They are also used to adjust the Caster as well. The reason they sell so well for the Civics and Integras is because they did not come from the factory with Radius rods installed. Save your money and do not buy these for your car.

The best way to lessen wheel hop is to prevent the motor from torquing front to back. This can be done with Poly inserts for the motor mounts, or you can have a machine shop fab some solid mounts from billet. I recommend the poly inserts. You will feel more vibration from the engine idling, but not too bad. Also, An LSD of any kind is GREAT, especially the Quafie. It is amazing how well they work to lessen or eliminate wheel hop. Any thing that will pull slop out of the stock suspension will help, So a full poly bushing kit is nice. They are a pain in the a$$ to install, but well worth it.

I guess that's why they haven't been made earlier. Thanks for clearing that up, Dr. James.
