I think you gain more power if you have more power to begin with. Big trucks gain quite a bit from a K&N, Honda's don't gain much. You have to remember that the H22 is pretty tuned from the factory, that is why we don't gain much from bolt ons.
well i had my mugen exhaust with my type S intake and i actually am gonna go out on a limb here and say when i added the K&N I did actually feel it. But I also wasnt just adding the filter to a stock system, i had the mugen on

yea you probably would gain about .5 to 1, but then again if you removed resonator with k&n you would gain a little more. i didnt feel anything when i had a K&N drop in
when i dynoed my type-s i compared the tock intake w and w/o the k&n filter - until 4400rpms it lost between 0 and 1 (usually ~.5) hp and torque compared to new wix paper filter. at 4400-6000 rpm it gained between 0 and 1 hp and torque (again mostly around .5) between 6000-7600 it gained between 1 and 3 hp and 1 and 2 tq. mastly around 1. it peaked at 2 tq and 3 hp at approx 6200. if someone wants to host images, i can post it up
I installed a K&N panel air filter in my previous car (Citroen ZX Volcane 2.0) and there was a noticeable difference in performance, especially during higher revs.
In my Prelude, the only performance mod which I have done is installed a K&N panel air filter. I pretty much installed it just after getting the car so I can't comment if it made a difference in performance or not.
I ordered one from http://www.performanceintl.com yesterday. Cost me $44.40 shipped with CA tax. Hopefully it will arrive within the today or tomorrow... since shipping and receiving zip code has a difference of 21
Then I'll drop it in and let you guys know.
