I love yur accord!! luks great!! I have the same exact accord (01 black lx) but mines doesnt luk as nearly as good as yurs.. did plan on making it luk similiar to that with a h22 in it too but after driving in a couple of preludes and getting use to coupe cars i think its about time to get a 97-01 prelude..

Euro R or Torneo Euro R conversion = win

Car looks great though, always thought that if I ever needed a 4 door to just drive and keep stockish and clean I'd get this gen Accord.

^ I agree. Always loved the 6th gens.

I'm a big fan of the new accord coupes as well.

Good looking sleeper in the above posts though.

I didn't know you're from Missouri. Your Accord is probably my favorite, and love the setup inside and out!

What was in it originally? Wouldn't the J30's torque output be a better fit for your car?

Dunno, just asking. Car looks great.

It was more than likely the single cam F23a1, to swap from the J30 to a H22 would be too much work. I work on these things all the time, a lot more than most people think is different between the I4 and V6. The V6 is mounted in the other direction with the trans on the driver side so it makes everything else under the hood in a totally different location, even the battery.

EDIT: after looking at the pics, his definitely was a I4, the layout of things in the bay and the rear drums only came on the lower I4 model.

I wasn't thinking that the car had the V6. I just wondered if the V6 would be a better platform for the weight of the car, rather than the lower-torque H22.

thanx guys for the compliments!

minilogoguy18- When I first learned about the euro r I wanted to do the conversion but... I've researched it and very few ppl have done it but I found a full write up on it and it requires a LOT of work because the widths are different... I would like to but I think it would be too much work to be worth it..

Jacques- where do you live??

and teedot.. I would like to have a v6 but the work required to make that work would end up being way more expensive than just going out and buying another v6 6th gen accord.. I've read and looked up that weight differences arent that different between a 6th gen accord and a 5th gen prelude.. the sources I used could be wrong but that's what I've found..but the v6's do make good power after built though but unfortunately 6thgen v6's only come auto so I'd have to swap for the 6 speed from a cl type s but If I did that I'd just get the whole swap..

but like I said guys thanx on the compliments!

At the other side of the state, in the St. Charles area outside of St. Louis. There's a few members in our local board (Honda and Acura Community of St. Louis - Powered by vBulletin) that are from the KC area, there's also some people from your area that frequent a Columbia-based car forum that I'm also in (Midwest Car Enthusiast Forum). Erik/ludikris is on this site and I believe is from your area. He used to have a Prelude, but is pretty knowledgeable.
