Sorry for dragging this thread back up. I'm getting ready to swap the CM stage 4 back to the stage 3.
And I'm not knocking axio in any way, shape or form. Just flashbacks I guess.
I've burned through a couple of clutches and I think I learned the hard way each time with this question. Tranny jack is a nice idea but the lack of room in the engine area makes it only useful for backup if your arms and legs get tired. The tranny doesn't drop straight down. You have to finesse it out(like everything Lude) almost down and out at an angle.
How did I catch it? It's only 80ish pounds but I layed "crushed" it on my chest and squirmed out under the car at 2 in the morning. To the point, you will have to gut check your friends. I was able to lift it myself and had a friend guide the housing to the block from the top of the car. If you have three friends to help congrats and tranny should be no prob. Use the ice in the cooler to keep them a cold supply of beer and to use for pulled neck muscles in the morning.
BTW: How did things go for you?
