Installing Eibachs: (Transfering the bump stop)

Iam installing my kyb agx shocks and eibach prokits today. I remember reading a post a few months ago about the bump stop. Iam pretty sure that I have to transfer the bump stop, even though the directions in ntpog.org didnt mention anything about it.

My question is, did you trim your bump stops before installing them in again? With the eibach springs, it gave some tips saying to trim the bumpstops about 25mm. Is this necessary? And did you even transfer the bump stops at all? Any problems?

Thanks
Eric

yes, u will definately need the bumpstops.

I am pretty sure on a Gen4 u do not need to trim them (I've got the same setup as you). Not sure for a Gen5 though.

There should be a piece of orange sheet that comes with the springs that tells you how much to trim them for each type of car.

Yeah cut the bump stops in half...or leave the fattest part. I have a 1.5 drop in the back and no tuck...It also took about a week to do most of the settling...after installation it sat at stock hieght because it had to settle first.
kinda scarey if yours is tucked right after installation...i'm thinking you'll need a camber kit for that drop.

My prokits tuck in the wheelwell on the back...I don't think the shop cut the stops...Will it be worth it to keep them the way they are or go ahead and do it??

Does anybody else hate the fact that the Prokits "seem" to be dropped more in the back than the front??

peace
