yeah and I said we "could" report you, I never said I actually would.
Okay, I want you to replace the crank sensor (do you even know where it is) to pass emissions and then replace it back just to be "full jdm"
Thanks for making my day.
oh and...im guessing that ur talking about the "crankshaft position sensor" and depending on the year, engine and manufacturer the sensor is in a different area in the block. if ur gonna try to stump with engine components. ur gonne need to design your own engine that nobody else knows about.
ya know. this topic was asking about any additional costs that come with importing a car from Japan. if you don't have any helpful info get the hell of my post. and when i said i would put all the jdm stuff back in, i mean any visible things that the USDM looks different than JDM. so suck my balls and get out of here.
You know all the emissions stuff has really nothing to do with the appearance. You stated you were going to change what you needed to change for emissions and then change if back if you wanted to be all jdm. So tell me, did you state it wrong in the first place?

Actually the CKP is pretty much in the same area in all 5th gens. This is because you are changing from jdm to usdm to meet emissions, so no smarty, it's in the same place. I never even owned a 5th gen and I knew that.
Why do I need to design my own engine? I don't need to stump you with trivial facts other than I am pretty sure you won't get an imported 5th gen prelude. There are a few in the states and they're all outragous in price.

you are really stupid. im not suggesting that it would be in a different spot in the same type or car. do you even know what that sensor does? im the reason the ones in the states are so outrages is because somebody else went through the trouble of doing the importing. if i do it myself it will be a lot cheaper. and the reason that i would want to put all the JDM parts back in is because some of them you can see. and so i could say that my car is entirely JDM. i am now done talking to you sir.

Holy crap dude.
Here's the deal: Importing a JDM Prelude is in no way cheaper than buying one here. Did you read the link pierce posted for you? Because that pretty much spells the whole thing out for you. You have to use an RI to import the car, and that costs major $$$ anyway you look at it. You are looking at probably a minimum of $10k over the price of the car itself. Completely not worth it.
You need to stop it with the whole "I can do it myself" idea, because you can't. The US GOV requires that the process go through an RI.

I had an imported 5th gen prelude. bought it straight from the Honda dealership for $8999. Sold it to get back into a real lude 93 style. the few minutes it took to read all this was worth it for the laughs. I Love You Guys haha

Yeah, I'm sure you did exactly that, big guy. Just walked into a dealership, told them you wanted a RHD drive one imported from japan for around the same price it would be for a USDM one and they did all of that for you, right?
You're a moron and your story is a lie, because you didn't go into details, so obviously nobody is going to believe you. Rule number one of internet dick-swinging is that you don't wait for people to ask you to back up your story, you put it all out on the table right then or you've lost all credibility.
Now go ahead and say something only a douche would say like "I know it happened and I don't need to prove anything to you." It will only make your story seem more fake.
Either that, or cough up names of people, the dealership, their process on how they did it, how you got the car registered, what the VIN number was, who you sold it to and pictures of the whole thing, or it didn't happen.

hey now, easy killers. its obvious I made that up in 45 seconds to antogonize the person that thought they could import one on his own. Im sorry you're so serious about it, I did say it was worth it for the laughs right? I'm on your side, it's not worth your dollar to try to import any JDM vehicles. Lighten up man life goes by to fast

^and there is someone who also converted his 4th gen to RHD. I remember him taking pictures of the cop inspecting the car and it looked like he had a hard on.
To the OP: Again, it's not that easy but sure, you seem like you've got EVERYTHING under control, just go for it. Be sure to post once you've imported the, I can't wait to see this thing...
I know a guy who converted a 5th Gen to RHD and hasn't had any problem driving it around on the street. Has it registered and inspected
