Ignition System ...

Hi, I'm putting lots of time in researching for the knowledge of car's, and don't get me wrong im intrested in getting my very own prelude, but I felt as if I didn't really need help understanding parts as I was reading along. Everything was beauty, I felt like I was going to understand everything in a car in about of a month's of research with a good handy website. But I've hit a road block so far. As my topic title is about the ignition system I have a question about certain parts in the ignition system.

HowStuffWorks "How Automobile Ignition Systems Work"

If you guys have time to read about a 1-5 minute description[Depending on your experiance on cars/english]could you possibly explain to me where parts E, F, G & H are located in a car ?

Wondering if it's illegal to use other's people pictures for examples, but correct me if it is so I could get it off right away. So i'm looking at the lude engine and as im reading the page, I can see the spark plug wires beside the silver lane of the valve cover. And from were the spark plug lead from to the engine is the Distributor Cap.. I'm guessing, but then where is everything else. Because the diagram is ither playing mind games with me or it's really that seperated as in the website.

Ignition Coil aswell part I, confusses me. Were is it located ?

Thanks for reading my post, hope that you find some love in the post, and I'm hoping to learn as much as possible before I get my own lude.

The Distributor houses the rotor, and ignition module. They are accessible under the distributor cap. The ignition coil is located just above the distributor in the picture above. You can see the single wire going from it to the distributor.

Manual Transmission

Part 1

HowStuffWorks "How Manual Transmissions Work"

"The transmission is connected to the engine through the clutch. The input shaft of the transmission therefore turns at the same rpm as the engine."

I'm confussed about input shaft. Are they saying the input shaft is what connects the engine to the tranny through the clutch ?

Part 2

HowStuffWorks "A Very Simple Transmission"

Very first diagram. For some reason I don't understand why the layshaft is present. It tells me that it recieves its power from the greenshaft that comes from the engine through the clutch. But my question here is where is the transmission in this case ? Is the layshaft part of the tranny ? And suppose I disangage the tranny from the clutch/engine would the layshaft of the tranny disangage ? I see the green shaft and green gear but im not sure of what it is... from what it tells me its a shaft of the engine and the gear would represent the clutch ?

Thanks for any facts / info

SOLVED !!! Thanks for the help Ahswholes
