How to take off and uninstall Vtec Controller?!?

I currently have a 98 Honda Prelude SH, and lately it's having some problems like very low idle, ATTS light came on, and sometimes it would just die out completely. Anyways some of these problems are caused by the Vtec controller because the owner who had the car before me, hooked up the wiring wrong. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could help me out and give me instructions or directions on how to take out a Vtec Controller? Also, how hard is it to take it off? I'd appreciate anyone's help on this. BTW, it's the Fields SFC Vtec Controller.

first thing u need to know is whether the connections were soldered on or just connected via crimped wires!

If it's just crimped, then just disconnect each wire!

FYI the ECU is located at the base of the passenger side foothold area, just lift the carpet of that area and u'll find it. Good luck!

yep, just locate your ecu and you should see the wires from the Field controller harness that tap into the ecu wires. just disconnect them and make sure you reconnect all the ecu wires.
