I foresee this being ammunition for some kind of flaming!!!

Turbo kit w/ fuel system and engine build...clutch
You can get away a cheaper with a forged engine build and a 100 shot of NOS...Brady from HP.com hit 13.0 in his 2.3 Non-VTEC with this setup...(I'd guess at about $3-3500, he did all the labor) These times were run when 12 second 4cyls were few and far. The Pros were still in the 10's and 11's(98-99)
DC header
exhaust
Akimoto intake
AEM cams
Lightened Flywheel
JG sprockets
SX FPR
MSD 6A
MSD Blaster 2 coil
Magnecore 8.5mm wires
JG throttle body
JG ported manifold,
all the free mods..
NOS 100 wet-kit

XES hit mid 12's with a T4/T3...His new setup will net 10's!!!
I would guess and say he has in excess of $15k in mods, but probably ran his 12's on ~$7000 setup.
Fully built H23A motor
Custom 62-1 turbonetics turbocharger
JE oversize pistons & Saenz connecting rods
APEXi GTR intercooler
SSR turbo-grind camshafts & throttle body
JG stainless steel valves with titanium retainers
Custom porting and polishing
Blueprinted and balancing bottom end
RC injectors - 720 cc/min
MSD 6AL w/ HVC coil
Hondata engine management system (Stage 4B)
Holley in-tank and in-line fuel pumps
ACT clutch kit with LSD
AEM fuel rail, fpr & pulleys
SSR 3" mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust with Apexi turbo N1 muffler
Powerslot rotors with Hawk pads
etc...

General. We might all benefit if there are quality posts.

I like you man... anyone else probably would've retaliated to j_s2000's post w/ a severe attitude. But you didn't. Kudos to you.

By the way, I could get my 3rd gen. to hit 12's w/ about 6 grand.

Yeah our stock motors with 6grand can hit 13's. Or less actually. The Turbo for our cars produce about 206 WHP so with a little help that is 13's. and kit is about 4 grand total.

Or we could spend that on a H22 swap and then mods and easily hit the 13's.

Either or.

I came from a diferent board and I figured you guys were the typical Ricers (you know...those guys who have that big ass wing...the fart pipe and the subs blaring and think your gods gift. I was obviously wrong about a coupla of you. On the flip side...I'll always stick up for the Stangs...My first love in cars.

Not exactly.... Actually, I could get my 3rd gen. in the low 13's for about 2 grand. I can DRIVE good too, so that'd help.
