Help...help...help!!! Power Steering Fluid Problem

For 4th gen:

I emptied out my old power steering fluid just by taking out all (3) hoses to drain, without starting the engine. I emptied the rest by turning the wheel back and forth. I left the car in storage for a couple months with the hoses plugged up.

Now, after a couple months I filled up the reservoir with HONDA PS fluid a little above the max mark and capped it. I started the engine and I immediately noticed a really frothy (a lot of small bubbles) fluid mixing in the reservoir. The fluid level got really low in the reservoir so I filled it up the the max line again. Throughout the entire process I did NOT turn the steering wheel at all. I again capped it and kept the engine running but after a minute or so of running I turned off the engine and IMMEDIATELY the CAP JUST BLEW OFF AND A BUNCH OF PS FLUID OVERFLOWED.

After that big mess clean-up I checked the level again (engine off) and the level was above the max mark, so I turned the steering wheel back and forth a couple times and the PS fluid is now at almost the very bottom of the reservoir. In other words the more times I turned the wheel the lower the fluid got.

I would VERY MUCH APPRECIATE THE COMMENTS AND ADVISE ON WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.

Could it be that I just didn't turn the steering wheel back and forth with the engine off to bleed the new fluid and that's what caused the EXCESS bubbles (frothy) and EXCESS PRESSURE to blow off the PS CAP???

Thank you so very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

according to a shop friend. it does that all the time on h/f series when you drain it or change it. to take care of it. start it up let it idle and turn the wheel back and forth from side to side for a few minutes.
