help asap...bout to spray carb cleaner....

hey im about to spray some carb cleaner in the throttle body area, how do i do it?

do leave the car on? and spray it with the intake off? or leave it off, spray it and then start it with the intake still off?

First off, It is not a good idea to use those carb. cleaner if you are not 100% sure it is the problem and the sprayer won't do ANY harm to ANY parts in the engine. I had bad experiences with those kind of thing, so I would stay away from them as possible.
