H23 Cam gears the same as Integra B series cam gears?

AEM's site has their cam gears as the same part number for the H23 and the B series. Has anyone heard that these parts are the same? Anyone else have any info either supportive or not of this?

I checked on Honda-Tech.com and they also said that the B18 cams and the H23 cams were the same. However, they also said the B18B only, and no mention of the B18C1 or 5.

The cams are totally different I thought. I don't see how they can be the exact same cam gears.

AEM has their cam gears listed as the same for the B17/18, regardless of whether it's a GSR, Type-R, LS or GS.

What kind of measurements do they make to determine what code # to give the CG's? Do they measure the inner bore of the gear itself, #of teeth on the sprocket or how does that work?

I don't think the cam specs matter. I think it's more an issue of the spacing of the cam gears from the head.

You mean cam gears right?

Interesting to know. If they're the same, that means the center bore where the cam fits in has to be identical, and the number of teeth has to be identical.

Oh, so Midnight Lude was referring to the cam gears and not the cams themselves? Okay, that confused me.

^^True, true! Hien's so :hien:.

Back to the point, so I guess there's no difference between the two cam gears, because they measure the clearance from the edge of the head to the cam gears and that's it?
