H22a4 head on h22a1

Does the H22a4 head bolt up to the a1 block, or does it need any modifacations

For those wondering why Wanna Lude too. is asking thi, it's because the H22a1 block is closed deck wile hte h22a4 block is open deck.. therefore the h22a1 block is actually stronger and doesn't to require a blockguard. when you start going for crazy powere of FI..

Since your ringlands are going to break long before the cylinders crack or even shift, that's not really a good enough reason to swap to an H22a1 block. If you going for 'crazy FI power' get it sleeved.

My understanding was that Wanna Lude too was getting an extra block to run and this happened to be available, which is a perfectly good reason by itself.

wanna lude, since you have the sh model check to see if the h22a1 block will fit.

agreed, the closed deck will not come into play. your ringlands or ring will go soon before this is ever a problem.
