h22a vtec throttle body swap

Can you put a 1992 h23a throttle body on a 1992 h22a vtec engine? Was wondering if this swap was possible.

why would you want to though? cuz IIRC the h23 throttle body is smaller, being its a non vtec engine.. unless you talkin about the blue top h23?

I had to... motor company (tigerjapanesemotors) shipped the motor laying on the intake manifold and it crushed the throttle position sensor and the sensor plug on the intake...company wouldnt cover it ( technicality on plastic parts in warranty....stoopid)) so i had to go with intake off my old motor. Could this cause it to run sluggish

Tiger Japanese is really hit or miss. Their customer service sucks. Sorry to hear that they messed your engine up. A new TPS shouldn't be too hard to come by really. Good luck!

Why again are you looking for a whole throttle body?

a after-market performance throttle body increases airflow for the intake, and does increase HP. It is part of the simple upgrades.

Right, but in order to get any kind of increase in flow, the intake manifold must be port matched to the new throttle body's diameter, at the very least. To really realize gains, you're going to need to do head work.
