H22A Manifold + Downpipe question

Hey Mr TurboMan, please help me!

Even though I can only dream of affording an FI'd 5G I figured you guys could help answer a question for me.

CAR: 97 Base 5G 5-Speed

I will probably be getting a H22A Manifold/Header/A-Pipe for cheap, and would like to try to 'bolt it on' but I understand it is likely a complex project and may not even be worth the time to consider for an NA engine.

QUESTIONS
========
1) Will my stock B/Downpipe and Flexpipe fit this manifold?
2) If it does not fit, how much would a custom downpipe cost?
3) With my NA Motor, do I run the risk of losing power here?

Thanks to anyone who can help me. Just trying to see if this is feasible and/or cheap

Grover

"H22A Manifold/Header/A-Pipe" <--- thats what you mean by turbo manifold right? Anyways, the manifold would bolt to your block, the turbo itself bolts onto the manifold and then the downpipe connects to the turbo. Now your questions; 1. stock b pipe will not bolt on, 2. check around with your local shops, around $200-$400, 3. if you bolt up a turbo manifold with no turbo then you will just have a gap there and a lot of exhaust gas in the engine bay and a very very loud car.

Hehe, thanks so much for the info bro.

I am NOT running a boosted setup though. I probably should have spelled out Naturally Aspirated instead of NA. There is no turbo involved here, so no hole in the manifold for the turbine.

I posted this in this forum due to everyone using crazy manifolds, custom downpipes, etc....figured someone could give me a yes or no answer.

Since the stock 97 VTEC Downpipe/Flexpipe will not fit an H22A Manifold I suppose I am just SOL. If this setup would be worth more gain in my I/E setup than, say, a DC Sports 4-2-1 Header I would give it a shot...however I feel this could easily sap power as well as give it.

Any ideas?

Thank you so much
Grover

Ok.

I think this is going to be a PITA to get to work properly, all for likely minimal gains so I think it is hopeless.

Thanks to ANY ideas
