Got quaife, exedy, fidanza installed !!

well after a few days of waiting to get new bearings in my car is out of the shop with the quaife lsd, fidanza flywheel and exedy organic clutch. Car revs alot quicker, i almost stalled a few times...the clutch grips nice and hard, not a long chirp into second but a very loud hard one, and the lsd may i say works...Car launches alot harder now, heading to the track this sunday, has there been any timeslips with jrsc lude with quaife ?

i believe the lsd also needs to be broken in.

is there a break-in period advisory in the paperwork that came with the lsd.

i know with some lsds you have to drive it in certain configurations and speeds, etc., etc. not sure if this is the case with the quaife.

and definitely stop beating on the clutch. break it in or your clutch will start slipping before you know it.

heh

glad i'm not the only one still adhering to the antiquated notion of breaking in a new clutch.

that clutch dosnt need to broken in as carefully as say a ceramatellic one.. but i would adivise against all the chirping.. just log some freeway miles in and let the clutch in and out while your driving.. i had that clutch too and i was happy with it.. although it did seem like it was slipping with my mods... although that might have just been the flyhweel falling so damm fast(same one as you).. as for the quaiffe no there is no break in for its.. its not a clutch type lsd.. its a gear..

okay...
bolivianfuego, what is MIR ?
yes TranceAZN i live in washington county (hagerstown, md)..we have a nice race scene here
schwett, i put about 50 miles on before i tested the clutch by chirping second ONCE...the exedy rep told me 100-150 miles to break in...
There was no break in advisory with ANYTHING that came in the paperwork with the quaife, it definitley feels different, wheel hops alot more but i am also running 215/35/18 series tires.... I want to get some 16" rotas or something lightweight and a set of slicks for the front when i go to the track...

Also the money situation, i am a server at a restaraunt friday and saturday nights and work at circuit city about 3 days a week. I earn 8.50 an hour at circuit city and walk away with about 100 bucks or more in my pocket from waiting tables....Work weekend nights till about 10 then go out and race....usually go to the track on sundays but havent gotten the chance lately, ill let you all know how it goes....
Thanks for all the replys guys..

Redrum, how much did you pay for the LSD? It's the last part I need for the driveline before boosting, so I"m saving for it, ever so slowly
