Got my lude back after suspension damage - now my tires howl! Help!

Okay so here's the deal, hit a patch of black ice turning left around a bend, fishtailed big time, overcorrected (well once I lost control there was absolutely no traction and of course life was passing before my eyes so that wasn't really good either) and ended of going sideways over a curb, rotated left again for 90 degrees in midair and came to a stop. I wasn't hurt (coming home from Xmas dinner of all things...).

Fast forward FIVE weeks later, I have my lude back. Lots of suspension pieces were replaced - I could get a list if that would be helpful. Now one or more of the tires are howling (they didn't replace the tires despite replacing 2 rims and repairing the other 2). So - what is causing this? Is it the new suspension pieces, an alignment (which they did), or is it the fact the tires were not replaced (at the time they looked okay but it was really dark out - thus the invisible black ice). The howling is so bad that it is louder than my engine at 50 km/h in 3rd gear. I intend to take it back for further fixing but I was hoping to point them in the right direction.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Your description tells me that the tires are damaged. Probably the belts. If the suspension was replaced with new parts and the alignment is to Honda spec-that leaves the tires. I would consider obtaining 2 additional rims if replacing the tires does not work. You did not say what "repairs" were made to your rims. Hope this points you the right way as rim repair is both an art and there is science to it as well-you need a really good shop for it.
Another thing-make sure that all of the plastic shields under the front of the car are properly positioned and secured.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply,

Well I know the rims were fixed by a shop that specializes doing that exact service, it wasn't done by the body shop if that was what you were inferring. And the tires that took the brunt of the damage were on the left hand side which is where I *think* the sound is coming from. I guess the other thing it could be was that it fell out of alignment on the way home do to some incorrectly installed pieces, but the noise was noticable as soon as I got it up to 40 or 50 (at first I thought it was the 1 tonne travelling beside me )
