It holds up great, I did it about 5 months ago and it looks as good now as it did when I first completed it. Just make sure you use primer first, or else the paint may melt or chip....

I dont think thats right. I think brake fluid is not that much different than Engine Oil, and i have gotten engine oil on mine many times.

I thought you needed to sand blast it to get the powdercoat to stick well?

I was gona do mine but my new engine has a nice clean Cover. I can get the type S for 100$ anyway.

No! Brake fluid is COMPLETELY different than oil. Brake fluid while eat away at your paint, but the kinetics are not fast enough to strip paint effectively.

I have a home powder coating system and it works best to get the parts down to bare metal (sand blasting). This is much better than paint, harder to corrode.

If you can get this in the US, then I'd suggest Nitromors paint stripper on the valve cover. It's the best paint stripper I've ever used, it works very well on tough paint finishes such as valve covers...

Obviously with myself living in England, it makes it a little tough to suggest where you can get it, but I'd suggest trying Home Depot or a hardware store.

DAYAM... could you help me powdercoat my entire car??? Imagine that... a paint job that would last. I got my 17's powdercoated black, and they're still shiny as hell... I love this stuff.
