Fuel Issue..

I know there was a recent thread on gas mileage but I though I should make a seperate thread for this issue.

I'm getting horrible gas mileage to the point where it might be 10-15mpg range. I am not hitting VTEC and am shifting between 3500-4k. Yesterday, I drove to the mall and back, which is roughly around 20 miles, today I start the car and it's about two bars down (4th gen) from when I last saw it.

Any idea's as to what the problem might be? I am getting a new fuel filter installed this week and hope that will help.

do the basics first then come back, tune up: cap, rotor, wires, clean air filter, fuel filter. I recently changed my fuel filter actually Saturday which was a bish, and I have noticed a slight difference in MPG. BTW wad up NOVA!! I'll be moving in a week though...

You can't go by the bars...you have to do some math...

Fill the tank - Track the miles - Re-fill the tank (when desired) - Take Miles Driven divided by the amount of gas you filled the second time = MPG

Yeah, I'll have to do that as well.

I just got back from lunch and noticed it went down another bar. I only drove about 7 miles total...

If I went by the bars I would "think" that I am only getting like 10 miles to the gallon for the first half...then the bottom half I would be ecstatic because I would "think" that I am getting 40 MPG....you can't go by the bars!

Fisch, it's gotta be the sensor or something. Going home from work today, it again went down two bars, and then came back to the original spot.

I'm taking teh lude to my cousin's shop tomorrow...hopefully he can figure it out.
