Front and Rear strut bars

I was wondering if you have to torque the bolts to a specific torque specks if your throwing on a set of strut bars??????

Do you just loosen the bolts that hold on to the front suspension and put on the strut bar then just turn till the bolts are tight?

You should always, ALWAYS torque almost ANY bolt down to spec.

If the instructions specify a torque setting then it should be implied, if not then I'm not too sure as Helms won't have a listing for after-market parts. Try to contact the manufacturer or a reputable tuning shop and see what they recommend.

the flange nuts for the struts should be torqued to 28lbs.

And they can come loose after a week so check them again after putting them on.

Thanks for the info guys I recently picked up a set of used Spoon bars front and rear and wasn't sure if I had to torque the bolts.

Is that 28lbs for front and rear strut bolts ?
The back bolts are sorta hard to reach with a torque wrench, but I guess I'm gonna have to do it.
