It finally happened.......

Car got broken into last night........

At least no damage or anything was stolen because me and my roomate woke up from the noise. They ran of when they heard us, all they did was pop the hood and unplug the battery to dissable the alarm.......

This is f*cking ridiculous. I broke my lease today and im moving into a new apartement complex by the end off the month. One with a garage. They've been planning this **** out for months and last night they finally went at it. THANK GOD for my roomates light sleeping disorder! Stupid cops said they couldnt do anything cause no damage was done and i didnt get a good look at them. Although i know what kinda car it was. Im gonna keep my eye on them bastards.

Next time im not gonna say a word. Im just gonna unload rounds from my window. I dont care anymore. This **** is going to far!

Did they jimmy the door and pop the trunk or pull the release cable from the front of the car? Did the alarm ever go off? You need a hood pin switch and a battery backup to protect against this.

Yeah they popped it from the front grill. The alarm gave off a warning which woke us up. I wish the damn thing wouldnt give a warning and just go off instantly.

As far as hood pins/battery. The car is in the shop as we speak getting the alarm system upgraded ($400 on top of the alarm it already had). They wont be able to even breath on it with out setting it off now.

The hood pin switch will set it off instantly and if they disconnect the main battery then the battery backup instantly triggers the alarm as well. Must haves for any alarm IMO.

How did you know something was going to happen to your car? Have they been sneaking around lately?

My alarm pisses me off. The damn thing goes off all the time. In the middle of the night it goes off by it's self and wakes the whole neighborhood up. Even at work when nothing is around it it just starts going off. I used to think it was my cell phone ringing in side but it did it still even when I took it out. Blaaaa, I just shut the damn thing off.

Not if it's in self defense. I see no problem with shooting someone in the legs or something if they are trying to destroy/steal my property.

Just be sure to fire the first shot in the air as a "warning" then when they run you can see how good of a shot you are

It would suck to have bullet holes in your Lude.

ya .... just the fact that you own a piece will stop them from coming I bet. Fire one in the air and they'll sure as hell run and I doubt they will ever come back. or take out their getaway car's tires. then go and chase em in your car. they won't get far.

True a car is not worth a life, but is the respect and the thought of someone stealing and messin with sumthing thats not theirs that pisses me off. I work hard for my money, i work from 12 hours a day, and for what? To have some punk ass kids take everything ive worked so hard for? HELL NO!

Some people gotta learn the hard way. So be it.

i highly doubt you'd get away w/ shooting someone b/c you were "protecting" your car... not that the thought hasn't crossed my mind a million times though..just be greatful you haven't been truly victimized yet

Not really. This is America ... take out their knees, and claim you thought you saw them grab for a weapon, or something that could be conceived as a weapon before you shot first. Plus, w/ all of that adrenaline and anger, you can get away w/ your actions, in court. The more thieves w/o properly working legs, the better we all are. I know, I know, I'm mean, but a thief is not a human, in my world, and they knew the risk before they got into their little hobby. A few golf club whacks to the head would be more fun, but harder to justify in the eyes of the judicial system, after you gave them the first hit. Curbing wouldn't work to well either, b/c then you had too much time to think about what you were doing.

"They gave me murder one, 'cuz it was premeditated..."

It's always a tough decision. Take out their legs and they are sure to come back and they will always remember you. Kill them and their friends and family may come after you and they will not forget. It's a tough call and nobody want to go before a judge on manslaughter or aggrevated assault in Texas: too risky unless the thief was poor and a minority (and you are not), then you might not get troubled too much.

Regardless of what I hit, I'd be sure to kill or maim the theif. Nobody takes what I work hard for, NOBODY, not if I can catch them. I DO have a bad temper, but when it comes to somebody messing w/ my car, that's my snapping point. At the very least, I'd hit them w/ a bat, and then just kick most of the life out of them, repeatedly in the stomach, groin, & chest, drag them into my trunk, and drop them off in South Central ... let the wolf pack take care of their ass.

What makes my rage even more violent & veangant is that the police, when they arrive, if they get there for something as measly as a car break-in (in their minds), will do very little, if anything at all. There are somethings in society that I feel we all need to take into our own hands. Cops go after the easy crimes to bust, and for obvious reasons, and there aren't enough cops around to catch all of the criminals, so the rest is up to us, if our cars really mean that much to us.

I'd be caerful what you do. Besides revenge if someone gets killed, the laws in your state might work against you. It would suck to go to jail over something your insurance would cover. I do agree with the warning shot though, that should be enough to scare them off

Hey dood, I hear you 100% on that. If some piece of sh!t is thinking of taking my car, they'd best think about the fact that I won't hesitate to shoot someone in the kneecaps while their at it.
I've had other cars broken into and I know how mad that makes me. FURIOUS.

As Travolta said in Pulp Fiction, "You just don't fVck with another man's automobile."

It's never been said better.

Man you guys are extreme, i mean i love my car too death but i wouldn't kill the person or like rip there legs off. I"d just take my paintball gun and unload arounds on there head then call the police. I mean it depends on who it is, if it is some kids i'd just paintball them and then catch them. If it was real thiefs i wouldn't, i'd just throw something at them from a safe distance to scare tgem and then call the police... what if they have guns or something?

Extreme maybe...but

hey have you ever thought about or actually broken into someone's car? I doubt it, or at least, I hope not.

The entire idea is foreign to me and anyone who is willing to consider touching my $25,000 car better be prepared to fight for it. I work my ass off to pay for that car and I spend a retarded amount of time researching crap to do to my car. Anyone without enough regard for other people's property, especially someone's car, is just asking for it anyway. I'm not saying I'm a cold blooded killer and that I'd blast a 14 yr old kid for trying to steal my stereo, but I'd hurt him bad enough that he'd remember to keep walking next time he sees my car.

Someone said, just let insurance pay for it. Well, I can kinda hear you on that one, but who gets to pay for the increased premiums after your car is fixed? You do. I do. And that my friends, is complete and total boolsh!t. I've been down that road and there's no way around it: You don't touch someone else's car. period.

You had better believe that I'd at least put the person/people who messed w/ my car into a coma, 16 years old or not. Where I'm from, and where I grew up, I learned that a lack of respect for somebody and/or their property can and will get you a round in the chest or in the head ... a broken bottle or a knife in the face, at the very least. Some people have a higher regard for themselves and their property than others, and to each their own, right? I'm prepared to take the consequences for my actions, so that I can send a message. Granted, all of my actions would be taken only if I found the person in the course of their aggressions against my car. If they made off w/ it, I'll just let the insurance deal w/ it. But, on average, cops and insurance companies don't care about us car enthusiasts, and the amount of blood, sweat, and tears we put into our cars. For some of us, this is our life ... our culture.
