Factory Keyless Entry Question??

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't all the 2000 models come with a keyless entry system? I bought my 5th gen used from a private seller and he didn't give me a keyless entry remote. Can the dealer just take a remote off the shelf and program it to my car? Or is it more involved than that, and how much does this cost? Would it be easier just to get a Viper installed for $149 since it's an alarm and it comes with keyless entry? That's all i really want anyway... the keyless. I'm scratching up my door everytime i stick in the damn key!
Thanks!

2000's come with keyless entry. When I bought my car, they forgot to give it to me and I didn't notice until the next when I went back to get it. I have a Viper alarm installed and the guy that installed it just "transferred" the keyless entry remote from the dealer to the new Viper remote.

It should come with keyless, I think they became standard in 99.

An arm and a leg.

Find a remote on Ebay for like $10.. and program it yourself.

I have two brand new remotes I'm selling in the parts classified's on this board for the Prelude. They are easy to program.

ok... my friend just gave me his old 2000 Accord V6 EX remote for the keyless/alarm. Here's my question now: Will this thing work if i program it to my 2000 lude? I don't have an alarm... but since my lude is a 2000, it does have a factory keyless system on it. So if it works... how do you program it???
Thanks!
