Exhaust Recommendation?

Hi..

I'm looking to get a new exhaust system for my 94 Prelude (Si vtec) but I have no idea which is a good one to get.. The one I currently have (when I bought the car) makes a horrible high noise when you floor it..

I want something that sounds deep and quite loud, but not stupidly loud, just so people can hear you coming =)

Does anyone have any recomendations?

I have an RS*R exmag and love it. It sounds deep, but yet quiet.

If you want something more louder/deeper I would look at the Greddy SP2 exhaust as well.

I have a problem though, I live in the UK and am finding it hard to get someone to ship to the UK (although I have only looked on Ebay so far) its much cheaper for me to get it abroad, stupid UK rip off prices...

yeah an Evo2 sounds like the ticket

also, I'm not sure if they ship overseas, but the Skunk2 is loud (a good loud though - clean and deep sounding) made well, and goes for $430 shipped within the States.

Apparently the Skunk2 is not good in English weather, I got this from a dealer in the UK..

Hi,

We do not recommend the Skunk2 exhausts they are prone to weld fractures in
the UK climate, hangers breaking and loud noise levels.
I would highly recommend the Tanabe Hyper Medalion detailed on our web site.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sounds like bull****, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but any climate a human is going to live in comfortably isn't going to mess up your welds. If that site doesn't sell the Skunk 2, they're just making up **** to get you to buy what they have.

And it's not like an exhaust is "prone to have loud noises." It either does or doesn't. I wouldn't go with the Hyper Medallion, I really think the Greddy PE, or Evo is what would fit your description perfectly. I'll even go out to my car after work, and get a video with a sound clip for you if I have to.

the Hyper Medallion is a great exhaust - nice welds, full 304 stainless, and it has a nice tone. It's not very aggressive though unless you floor it. If you want to get noticed or if you like a louder exhaust, it's the wrong choice. If you want a great-sounding, more conservative exhaust, it's one of the best choices

I have the greddy evo 2 catback.... very nice. It sounds so nice at idle, deep and raspy but when cruising aroun 3,000 rpms it's barely noticable. I'd say it's not 'loud' until about 4-4,500 rpms. Cops seem to leave me alone yet always mess with my friends.
