Dynoed the Lude today!

1993 Honda Prelude VTEC with ~120k miles

Mods:

AEM CAI
AEM Tru-Power Pulleys
GReddy Header
eBay Race Cat (resonated test pipe)
GReddy SP2 Exhaust
NGK Sparkplug Wires & NGK Iridium Plugs
Exedy Organic Clutch
ACT XACT StreetLite Flywheel
VAFC-II

First run is a baseline. Second run is with tuning the VAFC-II.

Might have hit higher. The first run it was 86F and the last run it was 96F.

EDIT: Updated the picture, had a friend edit the colors of the lines to help distinguish.

I think the Greddy header and the test pipe were the key ingredients, nice dyno and great torque!

You gained midrange and top end torque, and that is what counts. Must be fun to drive.

That's a very good dyno. Do me a favor please and re-post this under the N/A Dyno thread.

Congratulations!

I posted it there too.

I got a question. My VTEC engagement is currently set at 4400. Does that seem low? I mean it did pretty much smooth out the dip. Just seems low; most I've read set it to 4700-4800 or so.

Guess it depends on where you want it to engage.. Mine is 4800, because I don't want it to hit vtec all the time.

What are your A/F settiings?

your curve is smooth, if the A/F looks good then leave it, what works on someone elses car wont always work on yours...point proven here.

leave the vtec crossover where its at, you got a good midrange gain by moving it.
