Another update for October. In the last couple of months I've done a few more things. I really need to post more pictures.
-wired up the 97+ fog lamps and, after a lot of research, figured out how to get my aftermarket interior switch through the
firewall without drilling. What a PITA that was but they work!
-installed a plug n play Phillips 4200K HID hid that uses the same 9006 bulb size that my car needs. I'm sure it's not as good
as a retrofit but it is still a night and day difference on this car and I am more than happy. My Prelude halogens were fine to
drive with but the SC halogens were another story. And since SC's had projectors from the factory I don't blind people!
-had to install a brand new front cat for my upcoming smog test (199k miles). My pretest numbers were passable but the HC's
were at the limit. Thanks Cali for the Test Only designation one year ahead of when I should have been due.
-installed an aux audio connection into the factory stereo using a ground loop isolator from Radio Shack. It sounds clear and crisp!
No need for an aftermarket stereo!
-fixed my leaking distributor o-ring gasket.
-figured out how to re-wire my Supra TT driver's seat electrical cable to operate with the SC's driver side seatbelt dash warning light.
-bought a set of black 2003 Lexus LS430 hood washer nozzles to replace my old ones. All Lexus washer nozzles are pretty much
compatible with most of their older models, fyi.
-Taking both my 4.272:1 Lexus open differential and 3.769:1 Supra TT Automatic Torsen LSD differential to Driftmotion this week
to have the Torsen LSD swapped over to the Lexus diff. I will keep the Supra 3.769 diff parts and stock 4.083 for possible future plans.
That's it for now. 2012 plans include a custom Vibrant catback exhaust (with no resonators), a rear brake job, new front seat leather from
Leatherseats.com and, when necessary, going down in tire size from 245/45-17 FR & 275/40-17 RR --> 235/45-17 FR & 255/40-17 RR.
Since the car is not turbocharged this will help a little with acceleration as well as handling and the ability to break loose the rear end a
bit more with the reduced tread area.
There are a couple of minor interior things to replace but the car is basically near completed. Good thing too. I need a break.
And then I start thinking about turbos

Oh Cali: you and your visual inspections and one-year-early smog test letters...
