Cyberdyne gauges?

Anyone have any experience with their gauges?

I'm looking to get their digital voltmeter and oil pressure gauges.

Any reason why I should stay away from digital gauges? I know analog ones are quicker to read on the fly, but not as precise.

jw why would you need a digi voltmeter?

i have a crappy one on my radar, so fluctuate between 11.7 to 13.7 volts. i guess it helps.

Cuz my older analog Autometer gauge reads lower than the actual voltage so I might as well upgrade to something nicer

That's not a crappy voltmeter, that's an accurate one. Voltage fluctuates a lot in a car. The alternator has to provide a higher voltage than the battery for it to charge, and depending on RPMs and load it may sag it idle or low engine speeds.

Cyberdyne IIRC = Nordskog. I've seen the Nordskog, they work well, but look like they are home-made up close. They look fine from the standpoint of readability & labeling. They work well.

You may consider the Spa digital gauges. They are nicer and combine two displays into one. IIRC they aren't much more expensive (like 1.5x buying a single Nordskog).

They look sweet... but wow... $220 for a gauge?!

I might get a Cyberdyne or Nordskog then... or maybe just stick with an analog Autometer gauge
